Our Doctors
Dr. Yokananth Sekar
Medical Director
Dr. Yokananth Sekar earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Madras Veterinary College in India and a Masters in Veterinary Parasitology from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute. He completed his PhD research on mast cells in allergy and immunology at the University of Alberta, Canada, and also practiced small animal medicine in Canada while completing his postdoctoral studies.
After moving to Texas in 2015, Dr. Sekar joined Club Hill Animal Clinic, bringing extensive experience in diagnostics, surgery, and preventive care. He has specialized training in canine and feline dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and ultrasound, and is accredited by the USDA to issue health certificates for pets traveling overseas.
Known for his analytical skills and compassionate approach, Dr. Sekar tailors care to each pet’s needs. He lives in Garland with his wife, three children, and their pet Remo, and enjoys hiking and leadership training in his free time.
Dr. Jonathan Maddox
Dr. Jonathan Maddox grew up in El Paso, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from New Mexico State University before completing his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. He served six years in the Air Force while earning an Associate’s in Science.
Dr. Maddox began his veterinary career in Chicago and spent a decade practicing emergency and critical care before transitioning to general practice. He joined Club Hill Animal Clinic in 2023, bringing expertise in diagnostics, surgery, and client education.
Known for his calm, thoughtful approach and mentoring skills, Dr. Maddox focuses on personalized, high-quality care for dogs and cats. He lives with his spouse and six pets—four cats and two dogs—and enjoys home remodeling, reading, and gaming in his spare time.
Dr. Dilpreet Atwal
Dr. Dilpreet Atwal developed a passion for veterinary medicine growing up on a farm, which inspired his lifelong commitment to animal care. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in India and completed the ECFVG program after moving to the United States.
Dr. Atwal gained experience in emergency hospitals and specialty clinics before joining Club Hill Animal Clinic. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care and emphasizes preventive medicine to keep pets healthy throughout their lives.
Whether managing routine wellness visits or complex medical cases, Dr. Atwal works closely with pet owners to create tailored care plans. Known for his empathy, professionalism, and thorough approach, he is committed to building lasting relationships with both pets and families.

Lizbeth
Since joining Club Hill Animal Clinic in 2010, Lizbeth has been a dedicated and trusted leader within the veterinary team. A lifelong animal lover with a special affection for cats, she brings both compassion and expertise to every aspect of the practice’s daily operations. As Practice Manager, Lizbeth is committed to creating an environment where clients feel supported, pets receive exceptional care, and the veterinary team can thrive. Education and advocacy are central to her approach; whether guiding pet owners through important healthcare decisions or helping develop staff training, she strives to ensure that every animal and their family receives the knowledge and resources they need for a healthy, happy life. Outside the clinic, Lizbeth enjoys spending time with her own feline companions and unwinding with a good book. She continues to stay engaged in the veterinary field and seeks out new ways to support the animal-loving community.
Maria
Maria joined Club Hill Animal Clinic in 2016 and has been an essential part of the client service team ever since. As Lead CSR, she is known for her warm presence, exceptional dedication, and impressive ability to remember and connect with every pet who walks through the door. A proud mom, Maria brings her natural compassion and patience into her work each day. She has a deep love for both dogs and cats and is committed to making every client and patient feel welcomed, understood, and cared for. Outside the clinic, Maria enjoys spending quality time with her family and her son, creating memories that bring her joy and balance. Her genuine kindness and commitment to the well-being of pets and their people make her a valued part of the Club Hill Animal Clinic family.
